Newdigate Veterinary Surgery - Who's Who

Newdigate Veterinary Surgery is owned by Friendly Vets Ltd an independent private company set up to provide a unique local veterinary service – we want you and your pet to feel at home with us and we welcome feedback and suggestions as to how we may provide you with better service. Our success is entirely dependant upon providing you with the level of care for your pet that you need – we try very hard to make this our sole aim.

Our Veterinary Surgeons

Victoria Edmondson BVSc MRCVS (right) is our principal clinician has over 15 years clinical experience and is a dog and cat owner herself (she actually has 8 dogs and 10 cats as well as 2 donkeys, several horses and a flock of sheep!). Viki has regular appointment slots for all areas of pet health care and is particularly interested in feline care and pain relief in elderly pets.

Our Nursing Staff

Sophie Saberi VN (left) has more than 10 years experience in Small Animal 1st opinion and emergency nursing care plus a passion for preventative healthcare. Accompanying Sophie to work usually is her dog Rook, a black Labrador Retriever. Sophie holds regular Nurse Clinics to assist clients with all aspects of pet care.

Jennie Hyde VN has several years experience in Small Animal care and has four dogs, a ten year old plus a three year old whippet, a year old Shetland sheepdog, and a puppy Jack Russell who she hopes to compete at shows. Jennie is really interested in Rabbit care and loves animal dentistry! Jennie is available for nurse clinics and works two days a week at the surgery.

Our Support Staff

Sam Barrack (right) and Pat Mander our Practice and Yard administrators answer the telephone provide the essential back-office functions and support the clinical team at both Newdigate Veterinary Surgery and Barings Field Equine. Sam is a horse owner and has two dogs who accompany her everywhere. Pat has been involved with horses most of her adult life has her own horse plus three dogs who also accompany her to work.
